The assault caused the partial closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
